Au where Stan finds the duffle bag.
HEAR ME OUT-
Basically it’s like a week or two before the science fair, Stan is minding his business (sort of) and while he’s going through a closet/cabinet trying to find some supplies, either for the Stan’o’War or his car, he finds a duffle bag. Curious he rummages through the bag, inside are some toiletries, 20 bucks, and clothing- wait a second. Those are his; his shirt, his pants, his socks— all stuff he has been missing for a couple of weeks. He’s confused, scared, and worried.
Why would his stuff be in here? Why are there toiletries? Why is there money? And who put them there? Unfortunately he already has his answer. Pa was always clear that none of his children would continue leech off of him. If you had nothing to prove then you had nothing to take. The conversation behind the principal’a door swarmed through his mind. How long had pa had his bag packed? Was this always the plan? Was Stanley really that worthless?
But that didn’t matter because Ford wouldn’t choose a school over him! They were going to sail the world together and that would be that, to hell with Pa if he wanted Stan gone then fine he didn’t need him, he didn’t need anyone but his brother and the sea!
At first Stan wants to tell Ford about what he found, but decides not to because in the end it won’t be important. So he keeps quiet and decides to take the bag into his car, after all hey 20 bucks and he gets his stuff back! He can’t leave it in his room cause if Pa finds out he was snooping through his stuff, well he’d rather not think about that.
Then the conversation on the swing set happens, and Stan’s head starts spinning. So it wasn’t just Pa who wanted Stan out, Ford was willing to ditch him too. Stan feels betrayed and hurt, he doesn’t know what to say or what to do. He starts to question his theory, did ford help pack his bag? Was that why he had been so distant lately, feeling guilty for letting his Pa kick him out and even helping him with the bag?
Did ma know? Eventually Ford leaves, huffing from Stan’s lack of enthusiasm and response, mumbling about being jealous that he has a better future up ahead, not just some silly childish dream. Stan snaps, not physically, not with his words: just emotionally.
Fine if they don’t want him there then he’ll just leave. That night while everyone is asleep he grabs all of his money, more clothing, a sketch book, his comics— a picture of him and ford on the stan’o’war— and some other things he thinks might be valuable or just handy. And he drives away.
Nobody notices Stanley’s disappearance the next day, not until night has fallen. Ford cheerfully excited with his new full ride scholarship, goes and tells his parents. Caryn is happy, tears of joy falling down her face as she hugs her intelligent baby boy, his father gives a small smile and a nod— he gives his approval. But the mood changes once he questions where Stanley is. No one has seen him in hours, actually his car has been gone since early morning. They wait awake all night, hoping for some sign, some clue!
Filbrick grunts as he walks up to the closet, his eyebrows furrow ever so slightly, his lips pressed in a tight line. He sighs deeply.
Eventually a report is filed, but there is not much they can do, if Stanley ran away then he isn’t missing, and the police refuse to do anything about that.
Anyways thats like yk the beginning of how this whole thing happens but here are some other thoughts and ideas:
Stan:
Without Filbrick telling him he’s not allowed back into the family without a million dollars, Stan isn’t as driven by money as in canon. He doesn’t have a need for large amounts of money therefore he doesn’t have a need to do sketchy jobs just to satisfy his need to have his family back. In other words he doesn’t have as much trauma as in canon and is actually more able to settle down without being on the run or in survival mode. The first couple of months he just spends driving as far away from the East as possible making his way over to New Mexico where he settles down, first as a bar tender then eventually as a mechanic, he lives comfortably in a crummy apartment but hey he doesn’t really need much
Unfortunately he does get bored, even if it’s not with his brother he does crave adventure. And while fixing a this guys truck he overhears of a town called Gravity Falls, where weird creatures tend to reside in. So you guessed it, he picks up and drives from New Mexico over to Gravity Falls Oregon.
He gets a small but nicer apartment this time around and first he works as a mechanic. Immediately he starts to get a sense of the place and its weirdness and he loves it! (Ford would love it here-) .
Since the blind eye isn’t a thing people have two reactions to the weirdness of gravity falls: freak tf out or shrug and go on with their day. Stanley being Stanley gets the great idea to act sort of like a monster hunter/ putting small attractions up with the less violent creatures, not the mystery shack, but more like the mystery circus!
Eventually Stanley gets the name Monster-Lee for his ability to be able to fight off creatures so easily (mostly through bribery or fists)
Ford:
He still leaves for West Tech, but now he's fallen into extreme stress/anxiety and a bit of depression. Why did his brother leave? Why didn't he say anything? Is he okay? Why did he ever let their father get between them, he should've spent more time with him when he had the chance-
Unlike canon, Ford has no resentment/grudges to hold over Stanley, rather he holds that anger towards Filbrick especially when he found out that he had planned to kick Stanley out-- for being the reason Stanley left.
While Ford does still want to study anomalies, he also takes engineering classes, he wants to develop better technology and hopefully resources for run away teens/homeless teens.
While he doesn't meet Fiddleford as his roommate, he does meet him at a robotics convention where they instantly become friends. After college they develop a small company based around the idea of being able to find people, now expanding into different areas.
Ford is a lot more open with the fact the not only is he a twin, but he likes to talk about his younger twin brother who supported him and always stood up for him.
Part of the development with the technology involved finding people in forest dense areas, especially with a lot of caves (please tell me someones seen that one chart) Which then leads them to gravity falls as their first test area, small enough to test their tech, but still forest dense to get sufficient results.
and then these three bozos find each other lol. anyways thats all i got , i thought of this in the shower like 30 minutes ago and decided to procrastinate on my HW writing this lol. anyways

Idk if you’ve seen Nosferatu but I think a situation like that could totally apply to (Name).
Brief overview:
In Nosferatu, the main character Ellen grows up feeling lonely and isolated. She pleads for a supernatural being to arrive and comfort her and she wakes up ‘Nosferatu’ who makes her pledge herself to him fully. There’s loads of other stuff as well but I think this main idea would be interesting. Nosferatu in the movie is really, really old and ugly, but I think (Name) deserves a fit, hot vampire boyfriend/husband. But essentially he’s like a Vampire Count, aka Dracula.
How it’s play out:
(Name),as a young child, calls out for ‘Nosferatu’ (or whatever name the vampire will have) and he wakes up. He makes them pledge their complete loyalty to him for all eternally, essentially making them his ‘bride’. (Name) is comforted by him, but this connection fades as they grow older.
Then, when they turn 18, Nosferatu calls out for them in their dreams and travels to Gotham, keeping them in his manor. He’s basically a yandere in the movie anyway, so (Name) is kept quite weak and docile due to his mind control, spending most of their time doting on him or sleeping.
Now, I think it’d be interesting for the Batfam to react because the thing about Nosferatu is that the oath to him MUST be consensual, give or take MAJOR manipulation, but still, (Name) has to willingly go with him. So the Batfam have to come to terms with the fact that (Name) literally chose an obsessive, undead (but fit) vampire husband over them.
And ‘Nosferatu’ is NOT going to play fair if they try and take his bride. Literally no Dracula variant does.

Being young, barely seen or heard, I could only busy myself with books. Even then how many books could I read before feeling that loneliness knaw on me?
Okay, dramatic I knew but who knew this one feeling would lead me to immediately get married by the age of eighteen?
I know how bad that sounds, trust me, I was the one who experienced it.
"What are you thinking about right now, honey?" I felt arms wrap around me.
Meet Elzire.
(Cred to this art and oc: @♱⋆༒︎Ren༒︎ ⋆♱/lcttuve)
"Nothing much," I replied looking through our mail.
How we met, well I believe it because of this, but don't take my word for it, I might just be delusional.
I had gone to the library and saw [D/D] she ecstatically waved to me before Damian pulled her away giving me a sneer. I waved that off and looked around before spotting a book that I’d never seen before.
It had a blood red cover and the title ‘Forever’, curious, I opened it. It seemed like a child's story as they had short sentences and photos. It starts with a girl who, one day after being tired of being lonely prays to the gods of her world she doesn’t care who or what they sent no matter what they looked like or how they acted as long as they were her friends, and nice to her at least, she would be happy.
Then it happened, a boy her age descended to her and every day they would play before growing old together.
The end.
I put the book back before returning to what I was originally doing, studying for my next exam.
—
It had been a good week since I read that fantasy child’s book, and I couldn’t get it out of my mind. I went to the library at night when everyone was either on a mission or asleep and to my surprise the book was gone.
Someone must’ve thrown it out, there’s no reason to keep it here anyone.
I let out a sigh before heading back to my room and though I accepted the book was gone I couldn’t help but wonder, could I do that?
No, that’d be silly.
But…
It never hurts anyone to try.
“Please, whoever is out there, please accompany me and become the pillar I can lean on.”
.
..
Welp I tried, back to sleep I have a piano recital tomorrow no time for these goofy beliefs.
3RD POV
A figure descended into [name]’s room their black hair fluttered from the wind and their red eyes and fangs glistened in the dark of night, their hands like claws before stepping into the light a little more revealing a tall yet built man he looked angelic despite being a vampire that was friends with a demon, specially Barbatos.
He creeps a little closer to [name]’s room crouching to caress their faces. Making them blink open their eyes.
“... Am I still dreaming?” They question themself. Making the vampire chuckle holding their hands in his and asking.
“Do you mind becoming mine forever?”
“Woah, my wish worked… sure, why not.” He smiled happily placing one of their hands on his cheeks and relished in the warmth that their hand brought to his freezing complexion.
Before they had passed out.
He caught them before they could slam back onto their bed and gently laid them down.
“Don’t miss me too much.”
Holy crap what was that dream?
Maybe I shouldn’t mind it.
For the next few years, nothing changed except my dreams. Then I turned eighteen and it was out of pure luck that I met him, his name was Elzire.
We got married that same year after a few months of dating which I was totally against but then he convinced me and it hasn’t been like our marriage has been going great. I don’t like that he wanted me to be a stay-at-home wife.
Don’t get me wrong I appreciate him wanting this for me because he doesn’t want any workload on me but I just feel that it’s unfair for him.
Too bad the only payment he wants from me is to do simple household things but even that he just hires some housecleaning or helpers instead of letting me do it and when he comes home to get his pillow, it’s nice to play with his hair, might be better than mine.
Today again though I’m stuck at home and there’s nothing to do as I finished everything, it’s not hard when only two people are living in this house.
I went to look through the mail before finding a letter addressed to me.
It’s from Alfred, but I had never told him where I moved… It’s fine, this is Alfred we’re talking about.
“Dear young master, [name],
How have you been? It's been 7 years since we last saw you or contacted you, I managed to get a glimpse of you and was able to deliver this to you.
Your family has long awaited meeting you again, if you could give them the chance to see you that would be lovely.
Sincerely,
Alfred Pennyworth.”
I looked over my shoulder to Elzire before responding.
“I got a letter from my old butler Alfred, saying that my family would like to meet with me again.”
“So suddenly, darling?” He raised his eyebrow at that. Seems he was as lost as I was. I told him everything like he was my therapist so he knew too well himself why this wouldn’t make sense.
-
Despite my hesitance, I decided to go.
"Really Sweetie, you don't have to this isn't something that I would waste my time on, so neither should you." One hand on the steering wheel and the other holding my hand.
"Come on, El, I'm curious, 23 years of my life and only now do they care to see me. Wouldn't you also wonder why?"
"Wonder, not meet. but because I love you and I care for you we'll still go." He squeezed my hand a bit before softening his grip again.
We pulled up on the driveway and saw Alfred come out of the manor.
Elzire got out of the car first before opening the door for me, helping me get out.
I approached Alfred before bringing him into an embrace.
"Alfie, it's been so long." I pulled away before directing his attention to Elzire.
"This is Elzire."
"Pleasure to meet you, young sir." Alfred did his bow before leading us to the living room where the whole family was.
"[name]" [M/D] whispered, tears welling up in her eye, standing up and starting to approach me.
I smiled but didn't reciprocate the hug she was trying to give me.
"[name], we realized our mistake. it's time to come home." Bruce told me.
"Well, as much as I'm... grateful for that offer, I've already moved on and had a life, where you guys no longer matter or are related to me anymore."
"What are you-"
"This is my husband, Elzire. And I don't plan to leave him, for this."
Tumblr media
Guys I quit on this if you couldn't notice the ending was rushed so badly, I'm so sorry to the one who sent the request I know this isn't what you would like but I kind of had a mind exploration, and now I have no idea what or how to write this request.
Maybe I'll rewrite this in the future but for now, this is the main result. If you were looking for a confrontation. It's kind of the situation of this Special.
Genuinely y'all could make your own or imagine this scenario. I have no idea what I'm doing anyway, thank you so much for reading this I don't think I'm tagging anybody on this and supporting other batfam authors, especially with all the hate that I've been seeing Luckily I haven't received anything.
Bye-bye, if anything is too unclear and grammatically wrong inform me!

Tumblr media
Seriously just what did you get yourself into?
The first incident or “love letter arrived onto your doorstep on a random Wednesday. It was just a soft pink envelope sealed with a heart-shaped sticker. At first, you thought it was for you until you saw the name of the girl in your english class. Maybe someone had the wrong dorm number. But when another letter shows up the next day, and then another, you start to realize two things:
1. Someone on campus has a serious crush problem.
2. You have somehow become their personal delivery service.
By Friday, you had a whole collection of letters meant for people you barely know. With no better plan, you start slipping them into the correct mailbox, dropping them onto desks, and handing them off with a whispered, “This is for you.”
Before you know it, people started calling you the ‘Campus Cupid’.
It’s kind of fun—watching couples get together, seeing people’s eyes light up when they read something sweet. That is, until you find his letter.
Lee Heeseungs letter. The guy with the lazy smile and unfairly good hair. The guy who always seems to be exactly where you don’t need him to be. The guy you have been crushing on way more than you meant to.
It was no surprise that he would get sent a letter. He was the darling of the campus, he was a charmer, talented in sports and without a doubt extremely handsome.
You examined the letter. It was morally right to give it to him… right?
Frowning, you place the letter in his usual seat. Just because you liked him didn’t mean you can take his right of knowing that someone else does.
The day passes without you thinking too much about the letter you placed on Heeseung’s desk. Or at least, you try not to think about it. It’s not like it matters, right? Someone else likes him. No big deal.
At least, that’s what you keep telling yourself.
But then, right after your afternoon lecture, Heeseung finds you outside the lecture hall, love letter in hand.
“Hey, Cupid.” His voice is casual, but there’s a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes. He holds up the letter between two fingers. “Any idea who wrote this?”
Your heart stops.
You stare at the letter, forcing yourself to keep calm. You knew this would happen. Of course, Heeseung would be curious. You should just tell him you don’t know. That’s what you should do.
But something about the way he’s looking at you makes you hesitate.
Frowning, you take the letter from his hands, pretending to examine it like if you hadn’t stared at it for hours before handing it to him. But when you open it and your eyes scan the page, confusion settles in.
There’s no name. No initials. Nothing.
That’s strange. Most of the letters you’ve delivered always had at least a tiny clue. An initial, a signature, sometimes even a number with a name.
“What’s with that look? You must’ve seen who gave it to you, no?” Heeseung asks, raising a brow.
You look back at the letter, skimming over the heart felt words. It was weird intruding someone’s feelings like this but with Heeseungs intense stare you couldn’t say no. The letter said:
I don’t know when it started, but you’ve always been there. In the background, in the crowd, just close enough to notice, but never close enough to reach. It’s frustrating, liking someone like this. Sometimes I wish I never met you in that cafe because now you’re all I ever think about, I hope I can confront you someday.
Your stomach twists.
The handwriting. The way certain letters are slanted. The way some words are scratched out and rewritten.
It’s… familiar.
Too familiar.
Your breath catches.
Oh.
Oh no.
It was yours.
See, the first time you met Heeseung, it wasn’t in a lecture hall or at some college party—it was at a small cafe just off campus, the kind of place students flocked to for overpriced lattes and last-minute study sessions.
You had been there first, tucked into a corner seat with your laptop open and a half-empty cup of coffee beside you. The cafe was packed, the usual rush of students scrambling for caffeine before their next class, and you were too focused on your work to notice him walk in.
That is, until you heard a voice—smooth, slightly out of breath—directed at you.
“Hey, is this seat taken?”
You looked up, and that was the first time you saw Lee Heeseung up close.
Messy brown hair, a hoodie thrown over a plain t-shirt, dark eyes filled with something playful yet sleepy at the same time. You recognized him vaguely—he was in one of your general electives, though he always sat near the back, half-hidden behind his laptop. He was the kind of guy people noticed without him even trying, whether it was because of his reputation on the basketball team or just the effortless way he carried himself.
And now, he was standing in front of you, waiting for an answer.
You blinked. “Oh, um—no, go ahead.”
“Thanks,” he said, sliding into the chair across from you. He set down his coffee cup, then pulled out a notebook, flipping through the pages lazily. “You’re in my media studies class, right?”
You hadn’t expected him to recognize you, much less strike up a conversation.
“Yeah,” you admitted. “I sit near the front.”
“Right, that’s why I never see you,” he said with a lopsided grin. “I usually get there late.”
You let out a small laugh despite yourself. “Yeah, I’ve noticed.”
For some reason, that seemed to amuse him. Heeseung leaned back in his chair, tapping his pen against his notebook. “So, what’s got you looking so serious? Studying for something?”
You glanced at your laptop screen. “Not exactly. Just… trying to finish an article for the campus paper.”
That caught his interest. “You write for the paper?”
“Kind of. It’s just an opinion column. Nothing major.”
Heeseung tilted his head, considering. “I’ll have to check it out sometime. Maybe I’ll learn something.”
You rolled your eyes, but you could feel your face growing warm. Heeseung had this way of making everything sound lighthearted, but there was something about the way he was looking at you—like he actually meant it—that made your stomach flip.
You didn’t know it then, but that moment—him sitting across from you in a crowded cafe, lazily flipping through his notes while keeping light conversations, smiling at you like you were the only person worth paying attention to—that was the moment it started.
The quiet, unshakable feeling of a new beginning forming.
You blink rapidly, snapping back to reality, only to find Heeseung staring at you with a curious tilt of his head.
“You good?” He waves a hand in front of your face, and you realize you’ve been gripping the letter like it personally offended you.
“Yeah!” You blurt out, a little too quickly. “Fine. Super fine.”
Heeseung narrows his eyes, but instead of questioning your suspicious expressions, he leans against the wall next to you, arms crossed, the picture of casual confidence. “So? Any idea who my secret admirer is?”
Your stomach does a full gymnastics routine.
Yeah, actually, it’s me. Surprise!
Obviously, you can’t say that.
You force a laugh, shoving the letter back into his hands like it’s a ticking time bomb. “No clue! There are so many love letters I deal with around campus, you know? Could be anyone.”
Heeseung mockingly pouted. “Come on, Cupid. If anyone can figure it out, it’s you.”
You freeze. Oh no.
Heeseung grins, nudging your arm playfully. “Please? be my lead detective I need to know who has this much of a crush on me.”
You stare at him, trying not to look as horrified as you feel. He’s practically pleading, eyes shining with excitement. He wants to know. He’s curious.
And you?
You want the earth to swallow you whole.
But instead, you swallow down your panic and give him your most confident, totally-not-dying-inside smile. “Yeah, sure! I’ll, uh… I’ll let you know if I figure it out.”
Great. Now you’re investigating your own love letter.
Romcoms make this look so much easier.
Tumblr media
In your defense, the love letter was never supposed to see the light of day.
It had been one of those late-night, caffeine-fueled brain dumps—the kind where your emotions got the best of you, and instead of focusing on your essay due at midnight, you had decided, hey, why not write a dramatic love confession you’ll never actually send?
It started off as a joke. A harmless what if?
What if you had the guts to tell Heeseung how you felt?
What if you weren’t just the campus Cupid, but actually someone worth writing about?
What if, for once, you weren’t just the messenger in everyone else’s love stories?
So, you had poured your heart onto the page. You wrote about how frustrating it was, liking someone from a distance—watching him laugh in the campus café, seeing him glide effortlessly through every class, always just out of reach. You let yourself be honest, because no one was ever supposed to read it.
And then? You stuffed it into your notebook, forgot about it, and went about your life like it never happened.
Until now.
Now, it was in Heeseung’s hands just because you thought it was written by someone else, and now you were stuck in the worst romcom of all time—investigating your own love letter while trying desperately to keep your crush a secret.
Honestly?
You were so, so doomed.
“So, what do you think?”
You try to keep your face neutral as Heeseung waves the letter in front of you, looking more confused than anything.
“About… what?” You ask cautiously.
“This.” He gestures to the paper. “The letter. My so-called ‘secret admirer.’”
Your spoke before you could stop yourself. “So…you figure out who it is. What happens then?”
He thinks, running a hand through his hair. “I mean, i’ll turn them down, it’s really flattering but it’s also kind of a hassle.”
A hassle?
You force out a laugh, even as your stomach twists into knots. “Oh, come on, it’s not that bad. Someone clearly put a lot of thought into this.”
“That’s the problem.” Heeseung exhales sharply. “I wasn’t expecting this. Im interested in someone else, and now I have to figure out how to let this person down without making things awkward.”
Your face heats up. You want to disappear.
“So, you’re not interested in them…? You like someone already?” You ask hesitantly, barely able to get the words out.
Heeseung shakes his head. “I don’t even know who they are. But I hope they don’t take it the wrong way, Y’know?”
You stare at him, pulse pounding in your ears.
He has no idea.
And now? You definitely can’t confess.
Not when you already know his answer.
And if there was one thing worse than knowing Heeseung didn’t want a relationship, it was actively helping him investigate your own confession.
Every day, he’d bring up new theories about who could’ve written the letter, and every day, you’d have to nod along, pretending to be just as clueless.
At first, it wasn’t so bad. Heeseung didn’t seem to be taking it too seriously, mostly brushing it off whenever it came up. But as the days passed, something shifted… just slightly.
“Okay, so hear me out,” Heeseung said, leaning against the bookshelf beside you. The library was quiet, save for the occasional rustle of papers and muffled whispers. “What if it’s someone from one of my classes?”
You kept your eyes on your laptop screen, pretending to focus on your assignment. “You already went through that theory. Twice.”
“Yeah, but I was thinking—what if they’re too nervous to say anything in person? What if it’s, like… someone who sits far away from me?”
You bit your lip. “And yet, you’re still expecting me to figure it out?”
“Well, you’re good at reading people.” Heeseung grinned, nudging your arm. “You always seem to know what’s going on with everyone.”
Your heart stuttered. If only he knew just how right he was.
Heeseung sighed, folding his arms over his chest. “I don’t get it. They wrote all this deep, meaningful stuff, but they didn’t sign their name. What’s the point of confessing if you don’t want the person to know?”
You swallowed hard. “Maybe they were scared.”
Heeseung tilted his head slightly, looking at you in that way that always made you feel like he could see through you. “Scared of what?”
You hesitated. “Of ruining what they already have.”
His expression shifted. “You think they know me?”
You forced a shrug. “Probably. Why else would they write all that?”
Something flickered in his gaze, something unreadable. He held your gaze for a second too long before clearing his throat. “Huh. I never really thought about it like that.”
You turned back to your screen, desperate to focus on anything else. But then Heeseung moved closer, his arm brushing against yours as he leaned in to look at your laptop.
“What are you even working on?” he asked, voice quieter now, like the space between you had shrunk to something more intimate.
You could barely think straight. “Just… an essay.”
“Hm.” He didn’t sound convinced.
His voice was too close. His scent—clean, with a hint of something warm—was too distracting. It was stupid, so stupid, how easily he got under your skin without even trying.
The next few days started to get a little weird.
Heeseung had always been playful, always teasing and leaning in too close, but now it felt… different.
It was in the way he started remembering the little things—how you liked your coffee, how you tapped your fingers when you were thinking, how you always fixed your hair when you were nervous.
It was in the way he kept looking at you, his gaze lingering a little too long before he caught himself.
It was in the way his teasing changed—less casual, more intentional. Like he wanted to see how you’d react.
And then, one night, things got dangerous.
You were in his dorm, flipping through the list of names you had pretended to compile for the investigation. Heeseung sat on the floor beside you, his laptop balanced on his knees, absentmindedly chewing on a pen cap as he read through the letter again.
“You know…” he said, tilting his head, “whoever wrote this is actually really good with words.”
Your blinked. “Yeah?”
“Yeah. It’s, like… weirdly personal.” He frowned slightly, scanning the page. “I feel how much they mean it.”
You held your breath.
He let out a soft laugh. “Honestly, it kinda sounds like your writing.”
Your heart stopped.
Your head snapped up so fast you nearly gave yourself whiplash. “What?”
Heeseung blinked at you, startled. “I mean—you’re good at writing, right? I read your papers, You’ve always been good with words.”
He reads your papers?
You forced out a laugh, hoping he couldn’t hear the way your voice shook. “Right— Well, I didn’t write it, obviously.”
Heeseung studied you for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then, to your horror, he smirked.
“Why do you look so guilty?”
“I don’t.”
“You do.”
“I’m literally just existing, Heeseung. Shut up.”
He laughed, but there was something behind his eyes that made your stomach flip—something like curiosity. “Stop freaking out im just kidding.”
Tumblr media
The investigation had led you and Heeseung all over campus, following false leads, and ultimately getting nowhere. You had been walking back toward the dorms when the sky, clear just moments ago, suddenly turned gray.
And then—of course—it started to rain.
Hard.
“Are you serious?” you groaned, pulling your jacket over your head as you and Heeseung ran toward the nearest cover—a small wooden gazebo near the campus library.
You both skidded to a stop under the roof, breathless and drenched. Heeseung shook his head like a wet dog, flinging water everywhere.
“Really?” You scowled, wiping raindrops off your face.
He laughed, ruffling his already-messy hair. “My bad.”
The sound of rain drumming against the roof filled the space between you, the cool breeze making you shiver.
“Here,” Heeseung said, shrugging off his hoodie.
You blinked at him. “What?”
“You’re cold, Cupid” he pointed out, holding the hoodie out to you. “Take it.”
“I’m fine,” you said, crossing your arms.
He scoffed. “Just take it before you get sick.”
You hesitated, but he rolled his eyes and stepped closer, draping the hoodie over your shoulders himself. The warmth of it, of him, surrounded you immediately, and your breath hitched.
You looked up at him, ready to protest, but he was already watching you—his expression unreadable, the usual teasing glint in his eyes nowhere to be found.
“Why do I feel like you’re hiding something from me?” he murmured suddenly.
Your pulse spiked. “What?”
Heeseung tilted his head slightly, studying you in a way that made your stomach twist. “I don’t know. You just…” He trailed off, then shook his head. “Never mind.”
You swallowed hard, clutching the hoodie tighter around you.
The rain kept falling around you, blurring the world outside the gazebo, making this moment feel like it existed outside of everything else—outside of reality, outside of whatever mess you had gotten yourself into.
For a split second, it felt like you weren’t just Heeseung’s reluctant investigation partner. Like you weren’t the person holding onto a secret that could ruin everything.
Like, maybe, he could actually like you back.
But then he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “We should probably wait this out before heading back.”
Just like that, the moment passed and you were left standing there in his hoodie, drowning in warmth, drowning in him, pretending you weren’t completely, helplessly falling apart.
After the rain, the campus felt quieter, the usual chatter dampened by the lingering water in the air. You walked alongside Heeseung, both of you with your hoods up, trying to shield yourselves from the leftover drizzle. It was awkward but comfortable — the kind of silence where you weren’t sure if you were supposed to talk or if it was okay just to exist in the same space.
Heeseung was the first to break it. “You know, you really don’t have to walk me all the way back to my dorm. It should be the other way around—.”
You glanced at him, trying to hide the blush creeping up your cheeks. You were worried about your own feelings, and now, Heeseung had a way of making your heart flutter with the smallest of gestures.
“I don’t mind,” you replied quickly, too quickly. “I just figured I should, you know… make sure you’re okay.”
Heeseung chuckled, a low sound that made you feel warm despite the cool rain. “You’re acting kind of weird. Usually, you’re so naggy. I thought I’d never see you get flustered.”
You looked away, trying to hide your face. “I’m not flustered.”
There was a brief pause as Heeseung watched you. His eyes softened, the usual teasing light in them dimming a little. “You’re not fooling me, you know.”
You slowed your pace, nervous now, your heart pounding as you tried to look calm. “I’m not trying to fool anyone.”
“I think you are,” he replied, stepping a little closer, his shoulder brushing yours as the two of you continued walking side by side.
You swallowed hard. The proximity felt different now, more charged. Your voice faltered. “What do you mean?”
Heeseung didn’t respond right away. Instead, he shifted his gaze to the ground, the rain creating ripples on the wet pavement. “It’s just… you’re always so careful with what you say. Always so in control. But sometimes… I wonder if you’re hiding something.”
Your stomach dropped at his words. You glanced over at him, but he wasn’t looking at you. The air between you felt heavier, and the tension seemed to stretch out longer than usual.
“I’m not hiding anything,” you murmured, even though part of you wished he could know the truth — or maybe, just maybe, that he could feel the same way.
Heeseung’s voice was quieter now, his tone almost teasing, but there was something else in it, something deeper. “Then why do you always look at me like that? Like you’re holding back?”
Your heart skipped a beat. “What?”
He finally met your eyes, his gaze intense. There was a flicker of something — was it vulnerability? — in his look. “Like you’re scared to let me in. What are you afraid of?”
Your breath hitched. For a split second, you were paralyzed, unsure of how to answer. Was it possible he was starting to see through your walls?
Heeseung’s gaze softened as he noticed the look on your face, sensing something unspoken. He took a step back, offering you a small, reassuring smile. “Maybe I’m just overthinking it. Forget it.”
But you couldn’t forget it. Not now. You could feel the space between the two of you shifting, the weight of his words lingering. Something was different, something had shifted, and you weren’t sure if it was just your heart racing or something more.
For the rest of the walk, neither of you spoke much. But every time your eyes met, it felt like there was a new understanding between you two — a shared secret that neither of you was ready to fully admit, but both were beginning to feel.
Tumblr media
It had been a long day, but when you stepped out of your last class, you couldn’t shake the feeling that something was different. It wasn’t just the cold air or the approaching dusk; something was off, and you couldn’t quite put your finger on it. That was until you spotted Heeseung standing by the bench outside the library, his gaze fixed on you as if he’d been waiting for a while.
Your heart skipped a beat.
He looked at you for a moment before he spoke. “Cupid, we need to talk.”
A nervous flutter danced in your stomach, and you forced a smile. “Uh, sure. What’s up?”
He took a deep breath, stepping toward you, and you noticed the letter in his hand — the same one you’d written to him, the one that had been slipped anonymously into his mailbox just a few days ago. Your heart pounded in your chest, the realization of what was happening dawning on you.
Heeseung didn’t say anything for a moment, just held the letter between his fingers, glancing down at it. “I know this is from you,” he said quietly, his voice gentle but filled with a soft surprise. “I figured it out after I read it again.”
You froze, your breath catching in your throat. You had hoped, prayed, that he wouldn’t find out this way. But here it was, and you couldn’t avoid it any longer.
“How… How did you know?” you asked, trying to hide the nerves creeping up your voice.
He smiled slightly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “A few things gave it away. The way you worded everything… It just felt like it came from you.”
“Also I found some of your notebooks while we were at your dorm and I matched the handwriting…” He blurted out.
Your heart sank. You had spent so long hoping he wouldn’t realize it was you, but now it seemed impossible to hide the truth.
“I… I’m sorry,” you said, almost embarrassed. “I didn’t mean for you to find out like this. I just… didn’t know how to tell you. I didn’t want to make things awkward between us.”
Heeseung’s expression softened. “Why would it be awkward?”
“Because I’ve liked you for a while, and I didn’t know how to say it,” you admitted, looking down at your shoes. “So I thought if I wrote the letter, I could control it. But then I accidentally gave it to you and everything is just— I don’t know It was never meant to reach you.”
Heeseung’s smile widened, and something about the way he looked at you made your stomach flip. “Well, I don’t know about you, but I kind of wish you’d just told me sooner.”
Your eyes shot up to meet his. “What?”
“I mean it,” he said, stepping a little closer. “I wasn’t expecting it to be you but now that I know… It’s kind of a relief. I’ve been wondering why you’ve been acting so weird around me.”
You blinked, taken aback. “I’ve been acting weird?”
Heeseung laughed softly, his eyes twinkling. “Yeah, you’ve been avoiding me like the plague. Always a little too nervous when we talk.”
You felt a wave of warmth rise to your cheeks. “I didn’t mean to… I just…”
He took another step forward, the distance between the two of you shrinking. “You don’t need to explain. I get it.” He paused for a moment, his eyes meeting yours with an almost teasing glint in them. “Honestly, I’ve kind of had a feeling you liked me. You just never said it.”
Your heart skipped a beat. “Wait… you knew?”
He grinned. “Not for sure, but I wasn’t completely blind. I just didn’t want to make assumptions.”
A laugh bubbled up from your chest, and you felt your nerves ease a little. The tension that had been building between the two of you melted away, replaced by something lighter, something more familiar.
“So… this doesn’t make things weird?” you asked cautiously, unsure if you were reading him right. The last thing you wanted was to make things uncomfortable.
Heeseung shook his head, his smile softening. “No. Actually, I’m kind of glad. Now I don’t have to turn anyone down because I like someone else.”
Your heart raced as he closed the gap between the two of you, standing only a few inches away. He looked down at the letter in his hand, then back at you, his expression serious but warm. “I don’t think I ever really realized how much I liked you until now. I think I’ve been too caught up in my own head to notice, but hearing this from you? Yeah, I think I feel the same.”
For a moment, everything seemed to pause — the sound of people passing by, the rustling of the leaves in the breeze, even the thumping of your own heartbeat — until Heeseung’s words sank in fully. The shock of it left you speechless, and the only thing you could manage was a soft, almost breathless, “Really?”
He chuckled, the sound light and comforting. “Really. I like you too, Cupid— I mean, Y/N.”
A smile spread across your face, and you couldn’t stop it. Your heart felt lighter than it had in days, as if a weight had been lifted off your chest. You had been so afraid of how things might turn out, but now, with Heeseung standing here in front of you, it felt like everything was falling into place.
Heeseung held the letter out to you, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. “You know, you could’ve just told me. But I guess this works too.”
You took the letter from him, glancing down at the words you’d written once more, a smile tugging at your lips. “Maybe it was a bit dramatic. But… I was too scared to just say it. I didn’t want to mess things up.”
He reached for your hand, gently taking it in his. “You didn’t mess anything up, Cupid. You just… made everything clearer.”
And just like that, all the tension and uncertainty you’d been feeling seemed to dissolve. There was no more hiding, no more pretending. You were standing here, with Heeseung, both of you finally understanding the feelings that had been simmering for so long.
“So,” he said after a moment, his voice playful again, “How about we skip the letters next time and just go for a dinner date?”
You laughed, your heart full as you squeezed his hand. “That sounds perfect.”
Heeseung smiled, his gaze soft and filled with something genuine. “Good. Let’s not wait any longer, I really want some ramen.”
And with that, the two of you walked off together, the air between you light, and the promise of something more ahead.

BONUS 𝜗𝜚˚⋆
Dating Heeseung felt like stepping into something familiar but entirely new at the same time. The comfort of your friendship was still there—the teasing, the ease, the way you could talk about anything and everything—but now there was something softer, sweeter, laced between every interaction.
Like right now.
It was late, the two of you curled up on your dorm room floor with a half-finished pizza between you, an old playlist humming softly from your phone. The world outside felt quiet, like this moment only belonged to the two of you. Heeseung was leaning against the bed, his legs stretched out, while you were sitting cross-legged beside him, picking at the crust of your pizza slice.
His hand, which had been resting casually near yours, suddenly slid closer, his fingers tracing the tips of yours absentmindedly. It was such a simple thing, but it sent a shiver up your spine nonetheless.
“So,” Heeseung started, voice slow and teasing. “How’s it feel? Finally dating the guy of your dreams?”
You rolled your eyes, already knowing where this was going. “You’re impossible.”
Heeseung grinned, leaning his head back against the bed. “No, but really. You had a crush on me for so long, and now look at us.” His fingers fully laced with yours now, his touch warm and effortless.
“I wouldn’t say I had a crush that long,” you mumbled, taking a sip of your drink to avoid looking at him.
“Are you kidding? You literally wrote me a love letter.”
Your face burned. “Okay, one letter—”
“One?” Heeseung gasped dramatically, sitting up and turning toward you. “So you’re telling me there aren’t, like, ten versions of that letter somewhere in your notes app?”
You choked. “There absolutely are not.”
“Oh my god.” He laughed, eyes gleaming with amusement. “There are. You rewrote it a bunch of times, didn’t you?”
You covered your face with your hands, groaning. “I am not having this conversation.”
Heeseung was grinning now, having way too much fun at your expense. He reached over, gently prying your hands from your face. “No, no, let’s talk about it. Tell me, how long did it take you to get the perfect wording? Did you, like, pace around your room dramatically?”
You huffed, crossing your arms. “For your information, I wasn’t that dramatic.”
Heeseung smirked. “Mhm. So you didn’t dramatically sigh and go, ‘No, this isn’t right, I need to capture his essence’?”
You picked up a stray piece of crust and chucked it at him. He dodged it easily, laughing as he caught your wrist, pulling you toward him slightly.
“You’re the worst,” you mumbled, but there was no real annoyance behind it.
Heeseung was still grinning, his fingers now playing with yours absentmindedly. “You love it.”
You sighed, shaking your head. “I really don’t.”
“You do,” he countered, tugging you even closer until you were practically pressed against his side. His voice dropped, softer now, almost teasing in a different way. “Did you mean everything you said in that letter?”
You swallowed, suddenly feeling like all the air had been sucked out of the room. “What if I did?”
Heeseung tilted his head, his gaze locked onto yours, and suddenly, the playful atmosphere melted into something else—something quieter, more intense.
“Then,” he murmured, his thumb brushing lightly over your knuckles, “I’d tell you that I think about it a lot.”
You blinked. “You do?”
Heeseung nodded, his expression unusually serious now. “I mean, do you even realize how… nice it is to know someone felt that way about me? And not just anyone—you.” He exhaled, his lips curling into something softer, more affectionate. “I don’t think I ever told you, but when I first read it, before I even knew it was from you, I remember thinking… whoever wrote this really cares about me.”
Your heart was thudding so loudly you were sure he could hear it.
“And then,” he continued, “when I found out it was you? It just… it all made sense.”
Your breath hitched slightly. “It did?”
Heeseung hummed in response.
“You’ve always been there,” he said softly. “I just didn’t realize how much I wanted you to be closer.”
You felt your throat tighten, emotion bubbling up in your chest, but before you could even think of a response, Heeseung leaned in, his forehead resting lightly against yours.
His eyes flickered to your lips for just a moment before meeting your gaze again, as if silently asking permission.
You didn’t need to think twice.
Closing the small distance between you, you kissed him.
It was soft, slow—like both of you were still memorizing the feeling. Heeseung sighed against your lips, his hand sliding to your jaw, tilting your face toward him just slightly.
When you finally pulled away, breathless and heart pounding, Heeseung smiled, his forehead still pressed to yours.
“So,” he murmured, eyes twinkling, “if I ask you nicely, do I get to read those other drafts of the letter?”
You groaned, shoving him away playfully. “Absolutely not.”
Heeseung only laughed, pulling you back into his arms with ease. “Fine, fine. But at least let me know—was I always this irresistible in them?”
You rolled your eyes, but your smile gave you away. “Shut up, Heeseung.”
He grinned, pressing another soft kiss to your temple. “Love you too.”

(This is easily one of my favorite depictions of Codfather Jimmy, it feeds into my Empires s1 worldbuilding interest, and YES long hair!!! I love this account so much, I depend on each daily post, of course I had to write something)
The Codfather could feel a pair of eyes on him.
It wasn't an entirely unusual feeling—he was used to getting stray looks whenever he stood beside his sister. They'd see the Ocean Queen in all her glory, then their gaze would slide down to him, and he'd be able to feel the disappointment like a shiver and taste the pity on his tongue. He'd never quite gotten used to it.
This stare, however, was more persistent.
The Codfather tried to shake off the feeling, tried to keep himself focused on the emperor's meeting at hand, but the itch of it made him cave within a handful of minutes.
Glancing up at the current speaker, fWhip, he quickly let his eyes flicker to each person until his eyes met Smajor's. Immediately (the elf must have just then realized how long he'd been staring), he averted his gaze and fumbled with his pen to write down any sort of useful notes. The fins on the side of the Codfather's head flapped briefly in confusion, but he couldn't ask anything while fWhip was speaking, so he tuned back into the spoken topic and tried to return to his note-taking.
It was only after the meeting had come to an end that he suddenly found Smajor by his side. Admittedly, he was left flabbergasted by the sudden interest in him, and it was getting harder to assume Smajor's true interest had something to do with the Ocean Queen. Part of his inner turmoil must've been clear on his face because Smajor had the decency to look somewhat embarrassed.
"My apologies, Codfather," Smajor managed to say, formal and polite as usual—had he ever relaxed? "I just happened to notice the feather you've got in your hair, and I was wondering if that's a new fashion statement of yours?"
"I—I mean, yes?" The Codfather stammered, his confusion only becoming more apparent by the second. "Well, uh... it isn't a new fashion thing, or a 'fashion' thing at all, it's just... new for me."
Smajor tilted his head, just as confused.
Jimmy hurriedly added, "to the Cod, the sea and the sky are one and the same. Some of the more traditional people will say that this holds true enough that in this life, I may live as Cod, but in the next life, I'll be an Avian. So this feather, it represents the life before this one and the life I'll have after—that I always have and always will strive for the best no matter what."
"'The best'?" Smajor asked.
"Probably lost in translation over the centuries," he admitted, "so everyone interprets it differently. Some people say 'the best' means world peace, individual satisfaction with work or relationships, stuff like that, but I consider it to be personal happiness. I feel like it'd be hard to achieve anything else if you weren't personally happy."
At that, Smajor hummed in agreement, but he looked lost in thought. The Codfather hadn't expected to be sharing a part of his empire's culture so suddenly (or at all), but it struck him as comforting to see someone curious about it rather than the larger and more apparent culture of the Ocean Empire. Still...
"What made you ask?" he prodded.
Smajor suddenly seemed very blank-faced, his words failing for a handful of seconds before he finally said, "I thought you were engaged—"
"Engaged!?"
"—because avians in Rivendell, we—they—give feathers to those they're supposed to marry! And I didn't realize you were being courted by an avian, and the feather was so small, I didn't know if the courtship was supposed to be subtle and you were just walking around with it anyways because you wouldn't know that—"
"I'm not engaged! Lizzie would kill me if I was and she didn't know!"
The Codfather self-consciously brought a hand up to the feather, debating whether to tuck it away or remove it altogether in his wave of embarrassment, but Smajor was quicker—the elf reached out and grabbed his hand, startling them both.
"I'm sorry—" "I hope I didn't bother you—"
They both paused, and at that point, both had felt enough embarrassment to last for weeks. Smajor carefully pulled the Codfather's hand away from the feather, gently smoothing out the hair to not get tangled with the single feather.
"I'm sorry," Smajor repeated, "I just... didn't want you embarrassing yourself, and I just ended up embarrassing myself instead."
"It was a nice thought! And, well, it was nice to see someone notice. No one really asks about the Cod Empire if it isn't slime-related," The Codfather laughed, if only to mask his disappointment.
"... If you want to talk about it more, I'd love to learn more. None of my books ever teach much about the culture of other empires."
"Are you sure? It can be messy, and uh, a lot of it is just spoken history since it's so difficult to get everything written down in a majority-underwater empire—"
"Then I'll listen. Maybe take some notes if I can, so there's something in Rivendell about it."
The Codfather felt like he would genuinely cry over such an offer.
He eagerly said, "You know what? Sure! Just, send a letter! When you've got the time, of course. Leave the rest to me!"
...
Some years later, the Codfather would have a white feather of his own tangled in his hair.
...
One life later, an avian with bright yellow wings would wake up in a death game with the faintest memory of snow-cold hands and red poppies.
ah ... perchance a codfather ? or , If you are familiar at all with Jimmy's legacy smp , well . a jimmy clueless never hurt anyone ....
Day 75!

You hadn’t attended a Formula 1 race for longer than you could remember, and truthfully, you never thought you would again until Mick Schumacher started turning your world pink.
The boy had known you since you were a child, back when you would occasionally attend races hand in hand with your grandfather, Norbert. Your relationship deepened every time you saw each other in the paddock or at family gatherings, and despite the age difference between you, you grew closer and closer until you eventually fell in love with each other.
Even before your relationship began, you were both fully aware of the obstacles in your way. It wasn’t just the fact that Mick was six years older than you, but also that you were the children of two drivers who weren’t just former rivals and friends, but also were like family.
All of that, combined with the inevitable pressure from the press if they ever found out about your relationship, mattered little to Mick. One afternoon in mid-June, when the Schumachers and the Vettels had gathered together, he had decided to confess his feelings for you. At first, you were completely in shock, hearing from the lips of the very boy you had loved for years that he loved you too.
So, of course, when Mick asked if you wanted to be his girlfriend, you didn’t doubt to say yes.
Neither of you cared what others might say because, for now, no one knew about your relationship.
And there you were now, standing in the Aston Martin garage alongside your mother and your three younger siblings, watching the race with great enthusiasm as Sebastian drove the emerald-green car.
To the outside world, it might have seemed like you were simply there for one of the most important days in your father’s career since it was his 35th birthday. But in reality more than watching your father, you wanted to see your boyfriend.
Hanna noticed the tense expression on your face. Smiling warmly and without taking her eyes off Emily and Matilda, who were playing tag nearby, she stepped closer to you.
“Are you okay, Y/N? You seem like you’re in another galaxy.”
Your body tensed at the question, something that happened every time someone in your inner circle mentioned directly or indirectly your secret boyfriend. You tried to hide what was on your mind, but the combination of your mother’s presence and your nerves made you say more than you actually wanted.
“I’m nervous because I want dad to finish in the points,” you said with as much conviction as possible, though it wasn’t enough to convince Sebastian’s wife. “And well… I’m also worried about Mick.”
Hanna raised an eyebrow, curious, but not pressing. She had once been seventeen too. More than that, she had gotten pregnant with you at that age, and she knew that your concern for Mick went beyond simple friendship. Mothers developed a sixth sense when it came to their children, and she knew you too well to be fooled.
“Mick? Why would you be worried about Mick?” she asked, making sure not to pry too much or reveal how much she already knew.
“Well… he’s having a really good race today,” you replied, lowering your gaze to the floor. “I’d like him to get a high position,” you explained, “even though with the piece of crap car he has we can’t expect much.”
Hanna nodded understandingly, reading between the lines of your words.
“I get it, sweetheart. I was the same way with your dad when he started racing,” she said, deliberately choosing her words to make you overthink. “Mick has a lot of talent, but he’s not in a team that helps him shine, so I understand why you care so much.”
“If you ever need to talk about Mick you know you can trust me, right?”  Hanna added,
You appreciated your mother’s words, though you remained cautious just in case she was digging for something that might expose your relationship. How naive you were to think she didn’t already know you were dating one of Sebastian’s best friends’ sons.
When the checkered flag waved and the twenty cars crossed the finish line, your eyes remained glued to the leaderboard. Not only had Carlos, one of your best friends, taken his first victory, but both Mick and Sebastian had finished in the points, placing eighth and ninth respectively.
Your father earning two points on his birthday was amazing. Your boyfriend earning three? Even better, especially since it was his first time scoring points in Formula 1. Saying you were emotional was an understatement, and no matter how much you tried to hold it in, a few tears escaped down your cheeks. You wiped them away quickly to avoid drawing attention.
Hanna, still by your side as she fed the youngest member of the family, noticed you approaching with a hesitant expression, as if you wanted to ask something but were afraid to.
“Can I go to Mick’s garage to congratulate him?” you asked cautiously. “It’s his first time scoring, and I’d like to say something to him in person before we leave for Switzerland.”
“I know you’re excited for him,” your mother said while burping the baby, “but I think it’s better if you stay here. It’s your dad’s birthday, and honestly? I doubt Haas would even let you see Mick.”
You nodded, though sadness crept in. You looked at the monitors, seeing the top three drivers already celebrating on the podium. Even from your location, you could hear the Spanish national anthem playing over the speakers.
“Mum,” you tried again, “come on, let me go congratulate Mick. I’ll be back quickly, and I’ll be here by the time dad gets back!”
Your exaggerated gestures and the way you waved your arms were too adorable, and Hanna couldn’t help but see herself in you. She remembered how she had felt when she started dating Sebastian, wanting nothing more than to see him every chance she had. As much as she tried to be the responsible mother, sometimes she just couldn’t help it. This was one of those moments, one where she gave in to the charms of her eldest, the spitting image of her father.
“Make sure you come back as soon as possible,” she relented with a small smile. “I don’t want your father calling me a bad mother for letting his baby do grown-up things.”
“Thank you, mum!”
With that being said, you sprinted off, weaving through mechanics, fans, and celebrities scattered around the paddock. You checked your phone to see if Mick had texted you, but there was nothing. That only made you hurry toward the Haas garage. Seeing it empty, you quickly turned around and headed toward the hospitality area, which was further away. While dodging anyone in your way, you sent Mick a message telling him you were on your way and that you had to be quick before your father returned.
When you arrived, the first thing you saw was Mick soaked in champagne, holding a bottle in his hand. The Haas team members, including Guenther, were celebrating. You felt out of place and your insecurity crept in, making you want to turn around and leave. But then Mick saw you, and the moment your eyes met, you knew you had made the right choice.
Mick immediately broke away from the group and rushed to your side, hugging you tightly. He wanted nothing more than to kiss you, even if just a quick peck, but his rational side reminded him that now was not the place.
“Congratulations, Mick!” you exclaimed, your excitement taking over you. “Oh my God, oh my God! I’m so proud of you!” you squealed, throwing your arms around his neck.
“I finally get to see you, princess. You have no idea how much I’ve wanted to,” he murmured playfully. “Although, I’d love to do a few other things with you.”
Your face turned bright red, something you had grown used to ever since you started dating Mick and were used to hear his endless compliments.
“How was the race?” he asked. “Did you like it, even though I probably looked like an idiot who doesn’t know how to drive?”
“Don’t be ridiculous, Mick!” you scolded, lightly hitting his arm. “You scored points for the first time. If that’s being an idiot, then I don’t know what that makes me.”
“That makes you the love of my life.”
Mick pulled you even closer, and just as he was about to kiss you, completely ignoring the risks, a voice interrupted.
Or rather, someone did.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing, Mick Schumacher?!”
As soon as you heard your father’s shouts, you and Mick pulled apart. You stood frozen, your face turning completely pale as Mick began cursing himself. How was he supposed to explain to the man who was like a father to him in many ways that he was dating you, his daughter?
You didn’t stay silent. You, who had a temper as strong as the man who had given her life, stepped between Mick and your father, trying to ease the tension that had formed over a simple show of affection.
“Dad, stop! It’s not what it looks like!” you exclaimed, nervous but determined.
“What do you mean it’s not what it looks like?” Sebastian scoffed, unwilling to believe your words. “Come on, Y/N, you were about to kiss him!”
“Yes, because Mick is my boyfriend,” you stated without hesitation. “We’ve been secretly dating since last month because we didn’t want to say anything just yet,” you explained without caring about the consequences. “So don’t act like this and use your fucking head and be reasonable for once.”
The Aston Martin driver was stunned, unsure how to react to the news that his daughter had a boyfriend, and that it was none other than the son of the man he considered his best friend, who had once been his mentor.
Mick watched as Sebastian looked at you in disbelief before shifting his gaze back to you, focusing all his attention on you.
“Y/N, this is insane… Mick,” he gestured toward him, “isn’t just any driver, he’s the son of—”
“I already know, Dad!” you interrupted, your tone sharp. “And? Does it matter? I don’t care who his father is, or who mine is, or the relationship between you two,” you tried to keep your voice steady. “We love each other, we take care of each other, and that’s the only thing that should matter to you.”
Mick alternated his gaze between father and daughter, finally mustering the courage to say something. But, before he could even open his mouth, Sebastian raised his right hand, silencing him immediately:
“Stop trying to fix this. You’ve fucked up, Mick,” he muttered as he stepped closer, his voice low enough that not even you could hear it. “My daughter is too young, and you know you could get into serious trouble if this gets out,” he added before stepping away and moving back toward you. “ I just sort of saved you from shit talks about you, so consider yourself lucky.”
“You can’t blame Mick for this, Dad,” you interjected defiantly. “We’re adults, and we can make our own decisions, so just leave us alone already.”
“You are not an adult, Y/N Vettel, you’re still a kid,” Sebastian snapped, his voice filled with unfiltered anger. “Stop acting like you are, because all you are is a reckless little girl.”
“Let me remind you that when you were 17 you fucked mum and you got her pregnant.”
You threw it out without thinking, and immediately, you regretted it, placing your hands over your mouth as if that could fix what you had just said. You knew you had been the most beautiful mistake your parents had, but you didn’t think about the impact it could have in their lives, especially in your father’s.
"I'm sorry, Juliet," the older driver began, trying not to let his anger and, especially, the pain he felt from your comment show. "But it's time to leave."
"Dad..."
"Not 'dad' or anything, Y/N," Sebastian said, raising his voice and making it sound harsher than he had intended at first. "Do you think it’s funny for me to see my daughter rubbing herself up against the one I consider my son?"
Mick paled as he heard his mentor’s words, feeling completely awful because he knew Sebastian was right. You threw him a look, but didn’t have the strength to answer. You were so in shock that you didn’t know how you hadn’t just left yet.
"And you, Mick," he said now, shooting a penetrating look at the young man, "I thought you could show a little more respect for our family and everything we’ve built together all these years."
Having said that, Sebastian took you by your shoulders carefully and started walking back to where the rest of your family was, not giving you or Mick a chance to say goodbye.
"We don't choose who we fall in love with, Sebastian," Schumacher blurted out, still frozen in place.
Your father and you turned around. The look of disappointment on Seb’s face made Mick feel a thousand times worse than he ever thought he could, but it was the sight of your tears falling rapidly that made him start crying.
"I expected you, more than anyone, to agree with this," he continued, pointing at you and himself, "because if there’s one thing I know, it’s that your daughter deserves someone good who can make her life the best it can be. If I can’t be that person because you won’t let us..." he pointed at himself, "...then I’ll be okay with it being someone else."
Vettel swallowed hard, not knowing what to say to the German’s words.
"I just want Y/N to be happy," the boy said again, "and if I have to let her go for now until you can accept and see that I’m really in love with your daughter, and that she’s the love of my life, I’ll be willing to do so."
With that, the young man turned around, trying not to look back, hoping to hear some words from those he had considered his family for so many years.
But, unfortunately for him, you and your father didn’t.

Note
Forgive me if you've already been asked something on this topic, but I was curious about your opinions re: Laudna's epilogue. Specifically, about how her lifeforce and aging is now tied to Imogen's in a 'marriage' ceremony even though they've only been dating for a few weeks in-game. It felt like an extension of the flaws baked into her entire arc that Laudna bound her soul to yet another magical woman, and in a way that would discourage any conflict between her and said mage. Laudna's epilogue with Imogen being considered a 'happy ending' really hinges on the idea that those two each other's perfect matches
So this is an interesting approach! I have to admit: I don't find the choice to age to be particularly bad, nor discouraging of conflict. I think it just means that she'll live around as long as Imogen will, as a human woman. I think if they were to break up, or if Imogen were to meet an untimely end, it just means Laudna would still live to a typical human lifespan.
But this is an interesting point that I think I touched on briefly when interacting with that weirdo last night, which is that it really feels in the end that Laudna never has her own life. Hell, Liliana manages to more satisfyingly say "huh, I've spent my entire life from probably my early 20s to my 50s either effectively on the run and alone, I fell into the hands of a very powerful wizard who treated me as a vessel, I never really unlearned my brainwashing from that, and now that it's over I think I need to go out in the world and figure out who I am as a person because my entire adulthood was lost to that" and Laudna never does. Even the ritual to make her live a typical lifespan feels very much a having your cake and eating it too - it's always been interesting that Laudna made these sort of intermittently expressed overtures towards liking her weird gross undead state and that mechanically Marisha leaned into it beyond the rules of Hollow One but then she does not get the unwilling immortality because of yet another quite literal Deus Ex Machina. It feels like just one more case of this party getting to have it both ways, for free, without ever having to choose, and the dumbest people alive shrieking at me that what I find to be a desperate saccharine dying dream of an ending is happy and that because it is "happy" any criticism must be a personal failure (and then some other rando will weakly bust through like an incontinent kool-aid man to fart out how unfortunate it is people are so uncivil and unkind and attacking people's intelligence and morals this campaign, meaning, of course, me for existing while holding an opinion and not breaking down in tears and capitulating to everyone who comes on my posts, but not the people who come on my post and call me stupid and unfeeling, because they agree with those people, because campaign 3 appeals, as I've said many times, to the posers who can dish it out and not take it, and not to like, intelligent adults.)
I don't find this ending happy because it's so divorced from reality it feels like weightless nothing, in the end; that's my feeling on all the lack of consequences, actually - as one of my mutuals said, easy come, easy go. Laudna never has a story; she never lets herself out of her own cages to have a story. The only framing people can even come up with to make it happy is "she had TRAUMA and now she has an ENDING where she's left alone" and even then it's like. Personally my feeling on anyone who treats their trauma as the reason they are interesting should be made to retrace the steps of the Franklin Expedition, which will make them interesting and/or at least temporarily remove them from my vicinity. If being left alone to do nothing is happy, why aren't you guys giving me a happy ending.
I meant to be a bit more reserved in this answer, and I have a similar ask to get to as well but I think what I'm trying to express and slowly losing my mind over is that the people who like Campaign 3 and loudly defend it are increasingly quite literally not of an intellectual caliber or level of interpersonal empathy to even join in the discussion with those of us who found it lacking. It's like explaining quantum physics to toddlers. We find ourselves having to define words as basic as "conflict" and "consequence," and repeatedly, with eroding patience, explain "sometimes, I think it is interesting when bad things happen to pretend people, and it is boring when good things happen to pretend people, because they are pretend, and sometimes different people have different feelings, and that is okay! but you need to let people have different feelings. Someone saying they don't like the blue truck doesn't mean you can't like the blue truck! But you can't make them like the blue truck."

How you and Haikyuu boys met 𓈒ㅤׂ 𝜗𝜚
Content: Fluff
[ Iwaizumi, Goshiki, Koganegawa ]
———
HAJIME IWAIZUMI
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You met Iwaizumi through a mutual friend—most likely someone from his team or your social circle. At first, he didn’t seem all that approchable. His serious, no-nonsense attitude made him seem a bit intimidating, especially since you had heard about him being the “scary” one of the group. But you were curious.
The first time you interacted with him was during a group outing. He’d been sitting off to the side, keeping to himself, while everyone else was chatting. You happened to end up next to him, maybe out of pure coincidence, or because you were the only one who wasn’t too intimidated to strike up a conversation.
You had initially thought he was going to brush you off, but to your surprise, he responded with short, but honest answers. It wasn’t long before the two of you found something in common—whether it was a shared interest in sports, a love for food, or an unexpected bond over how both of you preferred things to be quiet and simple.
There was something about his bluntness that wasn’t off-putting; in fact, you kind of found it refreshing. The more you talked, the more you realized he wasn’t as harsh as people made him seem. He was just direct, and maybe a little socially awkward, especially when it came to expressing emotions. Still, you could tell there was depth beneath the surface.
Over time, you ran into him more often. Whether it was by chance or planned, each interaction felt a little more comfortable. Iwaizumi wasn’t the type to initiate deep conversations, but with you, he began to open up bit by bit. He’d share small pieces of himself—a joke, an offhand comment, or a rare compliment—before retreating back into his usual, guarded self.
One day, after a long conversation about the team and life in general, Iwaizumi gave you a small, genuine smile, something so rare and so soft, you knew it meant something. It was in that moment you realized that, beneath all his tough guy exterior, there was someone who truly appreciated you for who you were.
From then on, you and Iwaizumi started spending more time together. Your friendship slowly blossomed into something more, with both of you eventually realizing how much you cared for each other. He wasn’t the most obvious romantic, but when he kissed you for the first time, it was as if all the words he had trouble saying were wrapped up in that single, quiet moment.
Iwaizumi would never admit it, but he was happy you didn’t give up on him when others would’ve. You saw past the walls he put up, and that’s what made your bond so special.
TSUTOMU GOSHIKI
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You met Goshiki by pure chance—maybe you were friends with one of the other members of his team or just happened to cross paths at a social event. It was your first year in high school, and Goshiki was already known for being both a bit of a show-off and someone who was a little too self-assured for his own good.
At first, you didn’t think much of him. He was loud and always trying to get attention, whether it was through boasting about his skills or being extra enthusiastic about everything. But there was something about him that kept you curious. Maybe it was the fact that he could never quite mask his vulnerability, no matter how much he tried to act tough.
The first time you really interacted was at a school event—perhaps a sports game or a class project. He noticed you standing on the sidelines, and with his usual overconfidence, decided to approach you. Goshiki didn’t waste time with small talk; he went straight to cracking jokes and showing off a little, trying to impress you. You couldn’t help but laugh at how over-the-top he was, and that seemed to take him by surprise.
He didn’t expect you to actually get his humor, let alone laugh at his antics. That was when he decided to make it his mission to impress you, not just through his usual bravado, but by actually trying to show his true self.
It wasn’t until later, when you both worked together on a group project or shared some downtime at school, that you began to see the real Goshiki—the one who, despite his cocky exterior, was a little insecure underneath it all. He wasn’t just the brash guy who loved attention. He had a deeper side, one that wanted to be understood and valued for who he really was, not just for his abilities or his showmanship.
You started spending more time together, and the more you got to know him, the more you realized that he had this unintentional charm. Goshiki might’ve been a little over-the-top, but he was also sincere in his own quirky way. Whenever you were around, his confidence seemed to be both genuine and a bit of a front. He always tried to make you laugh, showing off little talents he wasn’t entirely confident in, but you saw the nervous energy behind them.
The turning point came one evening after practice when Goshiki opened up to you, admitting that sometimes he felt like he was never good enough, no matter how much he tried. He was surprised by how easy it was to talk to you, and your comforting words made him realize how much he truly cared about you.
From then on, Goshiki started becoming more open with you, revealing the parts of himself that he usually kept hidden. His feelings toward you grew, and one day, after a long day of practicing, he nervously confessed, his face red and his hands slightly shaking. “I think I… I like you, a lot.”
He was probably one of the most awkward confessors you’d ever seen, but there was something so sincere about it. You smiled, and without hesitation, you told him you felt the same way.
Goshiki might be loud and a little over-the-top at times, but in private moments, he was a soft, sweet boyfriend who would always try to put your needs before his. He’d often show his love through small gestures, like leaving a random snack in your bag or complimenting you in his awkward, yet sincere, way. He might have been full of energy on the outside, but with you, he was completely real, and that’s why your relationship worked so well.
KANJI KOGANEGAWA
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You met Koganegawa in the loudest, most chaotic way possible—because that’s just how he is. Maybe you were watching a practice match at Date Tech, or you had mutual friends who introduced you. Either way, your first impression of him was overwhelming.
Koganegawa was loud, excitable, and completely lacking in a filter. The first time he talked to you, he shouted your name despite only just learning it, and immediately started bragging about how he was going to be the best setter in all of Japan. You didn’t even know how to respond—was he serious?
At first, you thought he was just another cocky athlete, but the more you watched him, the more you realized he was more enthusiastic than arrogant. He was desperate to improve, always asking his teammates for advice (even when they looked so done with him), and he had this raw, unwavering determination that was actually kind of impressive.
The first time you really connected was after practice one day. You were sitting on the sidelines, waiting for a friend, when Koganegawa plopped down next to you, completely exhausted. He groaned dramatically about how volleyball was so hard and that no matter how much he practiced, he still made mistakes.
You laughed, and for once, he actually listened instead of just talking. You told him that improvement takes time, that he was already growing so much, and that his passion was one of his best qualities. He blinked at you in surprise, his usual loud personality dimming for a second. Then, with the biggest grin, he shouted, “You really think so?! That’s so cool of you!”
From that moment on, Koganegawa basically latched onto you. He started seeking you out after practice, randomly dropping facts about volleyball, and getting way too excited whenever you cheered for him. He wasn’t subtle about his feelings at all—if he liked you, you knew.
The official confession came in the most Koganegawa way possible. He ran up to you after a game, still sweaty and out of breath, and yelled (in front of everyone), “HEY! I THINK I REALLY REALLY LIKE YOU! DATE ME?”
Everyone turned to stare. His teammates groaned. You wanted to disappear from the embarrassment.
But when you saw the nervous way he was shifting on his feet, the way his face was so red, you realized just how genuine he was.
You laughed, nodded, and said, “Okay, okay, but maybe next time, don’t confess like you’re announcing a game score.”
Koganegawa might be loud, a little clueless, and way too energetic, but he’s also one of the most genuine people you’ve ever met. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and when he loves you, he makes sure the whole world knows it.

stick with me
Tumblr media
synopsis: saebyeok enters the game and to her surprise she sees you. she had broken up with you since everything was getting too real for her. it had been a few months, will the games bring those feelings back?
warnings: normal squid game violence but happy ending
a/n: using the s2 rule where the players split the money if the vote wins bc im in denial about them dying. literally posting all my drafts
Tumblr media
when saebyeok joined the games the one thing she wasn’t planning on was seeing you there. you had been out of her life for a few months now, but here you were sitting against the wall looking like a sad puppy who had been kicked. how did you even end up in this place? saebyeok ponders to herself, how did you even collect enough debt that you would need to come here? a billion questions floated through her mind. what breaks her out of her thoughts is the glow from the lights of the piggy bank filling with money. one hundred million won per person who died in red light green light.
saebyeok walks over to you, her glare burning your skin. “why are you here?” she says in that low rumble that used to make you go woozy. by just listening to the tone of her voice, you would’ve thought that she was angry, but you know her better then that. when you look at her face, you see the way her eyebrows furrowed so very slightly. or the way her eyes were just even the tiniest bit sharper. you knew this look, worry.
“why are you here?” you shoot back, you knew saebyeok didn’t always do the most legal things but she shouldn’t be here just as much as you shouldn’t. she looks almost, just the slightest bit annoyed that you would ask her that. saebyeok doesn’t say anything she just takes a seat next to you on the floor. “you’ll die here.” saebyeok mutters not even looking at you. “then lets stick together.” you reply quietly back. she glances at you from the corner of her eye and in that moment you both knew that you couldn’t lose each other again.
during the next game, you looked over all the shapes carefully trying to decide which one you should choose. this was really life or death. saebyeok didn’t even give you a chance to walk over to a line, grabbing onto the sleeve of your jacket and pulling you to the triangle line. saebyeok had told sangwoo what she saw in the vent and he picked triangle. the game turned out to be dalgona and thank god she chose triangle.
during the riot, you couldn’t find saebyeok. it made you sick to your stomach to think about what could’ve happened. what if that thug had gotten to her? you were going to find somewhere to hide but then you feel that oh-so familiar hand pull you with her to a group of unfamiliar people. the rest of that night is blurry, everything happened so fast. but saebyeok was okay and that was what mattered. and you were okay and that was what mattered to saebyeok.
the next morning, you begin to familiarize yourself with these new faces. player 199, easily became someone you could call friend. he had this hope in his eyes that wasn’t easy to keep in a place like this. saebyeok on the other hand didn’t make an effort to talk to anyone in the group, she didn’t come to make friends. that doesn’t mean she wasn’t watching you 24/7. the others noticed it, the way her gaze softened when you talked to her. the way she walked behind you, like a guard dog.
when the next game had announced that everyone was to get in groups of 10. when everyone realized that you only needed 4 more people, sangwoo sent you and saebyeok to find someone and everyone else to find one person. he was very clear to find a man, not a woman. saebyeok wasn’t going to listen to a word coming out of his mouth, saebyeok led the way with you trailing behind her. she was looking over everyone, maybe judging them but none caught her eye. that was until she saw a girl sitting by herself on the stairs. she walked up the stairs, and when she walked back down she had now both of you trailing behind her. ji-yeong was curious about the two of you. the way you easily conversed with her while saebyeok looked as if she wanted to be anywhere else.
after your team had won tug-of-war, you couldn’t help but feel a sense of guilt. did those people really have to die so that your team could live? when the team walked back in, everyone was exhausted. the feeling of guilt was overcrowding the burning of your hands from the rope. saebyeok noticed this immediately, she picked up on your cues. so when you sat against the wall playing with a loose thread on your jacket she followed. “it’s not your fault.” saebyeok murmured, talking to you as if you would break into a million pieces. “i know, but-“ you tried to pull out the words that were running around your mind. and she let you, she sat there patiently and it brought back all those old feelings. the feelings you insisted were gone. but when she made you feel like you were the only one in the room, it was hard.
“we killed those people, they all had lives and now they’re over because of us.” you finally managed to get out, a shaky exhale leaving your dry lips. “it was them or us. we won and now we keep going.” saebyeok says truthfully. that was one of things you liked about saebyeok, she wasn’t one to sugarcoat things. you hadn’t even noticed that her hand had made it’s way on your wrist, her thumb rubbing small circles. you couldn’t bring yourself to respond to saebyeok just giving her a small nod and focusing on the way her comforting hand felt.
you and ji-yeong became fast friends, enjoying just the slightest bit of normalcy in this strange place. saebyeok on the other hand felt like she was babysitting, all the time. when the both of you were together you acted like children. “both of you be quiet.” saebyeok would say when you two would be up talking when all she wanted to do was sleep. she would think to herself, “have you idiots forgotten why your here?” although saebyeok liked seeing the way you laughed again, she hadn’t seen it since the two of you broke up.
when the vote had came she chose to stop the games. the prize money per-person was enough, the risk of loosing you wasn’t worth any amount of money. the majority ruled to stop the games. you felt a sigh of relief leaving your body. no more watching people die, no more fear that the girl you loved was going to die.
after the games things changed. saebyeok bought a small house. there lived saebyeok, cheol, you and ji-yeong. saebyeok had realized in the games that she couldn’t let you slip out of her grasp again. she almost lost you so many times in the games and it wasn’t going to happen again. you and saebyeok rekindled realizing that both of you were stupid to let it go. she couldn’t even remember the reason why the relationship ended. but she did know that both of you had love for each other and that was enough.
saebyeok lived simply, she went to work, took cheol to school and dealt with you and ji-yeong. she thought the both of you were bad in the games, out here it was so much worse. but she wouldn’t trade the chaos for anything. saebyeok liked seeing the way you were with cheol, it made her only love you more. saebyeok always showed you that she loved you, and you knew. even if it was just reaching for your hand when walking, or pressing a soft kiss on your forehead. and saebyeok could finally say she was happy.

(Adaline to Adam AU)
⚠️this story will deal with transitioning which will also include things like transphobia, misgendering, and deadnaming⚠️
Adam hated looking at his reflection, he knew for a long time he was really a man. But the problem was that he was born in the wrong body, a woman’s body. He even preferred the name Adam over Adaline. He pulled his long hair in a ponytail wishing to cut it short, but he worried that would draw any questions. So far the only person he told was his mom and she 100% accepted him and was going to help him through transitioning. The person he feared telling the most was his boyfriend because he loved him so much and he feared Lucifer dumping him.
Adam internally: It’s one thing for him to accept me being bisexual, this is me changing so much about myself.
Sera walked into the bathroom and hugged him.
Sera: Starlight, Lucifer is here to take you to school.
Adam: I am going to tell him so I can get the break up over with. I don’t want to go to prom and be dumped there.
Lucifer had asked him to prom and they planned on going to a hotel afterwards so they could have sex for the first time. Poor Lucifer was nervous when they went the pharmacy to get the condom. Adam was surprised when he picked a bigger size. Lucifer stuttered saying that in spite of his short height he was big down there. Curious Adam asked to see it and when they were alone Adam was impressed to see that Lucifer was right. Lucifer promised that he would be gentle as Adam gently touched it.
Sera: Maybe his reaction will surprise you, he loves you so much.
Adam: He loves Adaline, not Adam.
Adam wiped his hand over his eyes hoping that he didn’t start crying over this. He went down stairs and smiled seeing Lucifer, he couldn’t help but love him. They met in kindergarten and now at eighteen years old they were dating like everyone predicted, but Adam didn’t know how long that would last.
Lucifer: Ready for school.
Adam: Yeah.
Adam adjusted the skirt he was wearing along with the tank top and black leather jacket before they got into Lucifer’s car.
Lucifer: Has something upset you, you’re crying.
Adam: I am about to tell you something and I want you to know if you want to take someone else to prom you can.
Lucifer: Why would I want to take someone else, I love you.
Adam: I am not Adaline, I am Adam. I was trapped in the wrong body. It should have been a man’s body, not a woman’s body. I’ll find another way to go to school if you don’t want to look at me.
Before he could leave the car Lucifer pulled Adam into his arms.
Lucifer kissed his cheek: Don't be ridiculous, I'll love you no matter what.
Adam cried, he was so relieved when he heard those words, he had been so worried for nothing.
Adam: T-thank you Luci.
Lucifer: Besides, I've always kind of known.
Adam pulled back: Really? How?
Lucifer gave him a knowing look: You were not exactly a girly girl, you've always been into things that most guys like and I didn't want to say anything. In case you weren't ready. And as beautiful as you look with your long hair, pretty skirt, and tank top they're not you.
Adam cried some more, this was more than he could have hoped for.
Adam: Y-you mean it?
Lucifer: I do. And whoever you decide to live your life as, I just know I want to be by your side. I've loved you forever and nothing will change that. In fact, when you're ready I'll even pay for your hair cut.
Adam smiled he was so happy, just when he thought he couldn't love Lucifer more.
Adam: You're the best boyfriend ever.
Lucifer kissed him: So are you.

MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
1st Failed Meeting.
Y/n was there, sitting at the table, trying to focus on the words coming out of the mouth of the man in front of her. He seemed to be very outgoing, wanting to show off everything he had achieved, his travels, his projects, his successes.
At first, Y/n thought he was just a bubbly person who liked to share stories about himself. She tried to stay interested by smiling and nodding, but as time went on, she began to realize that he wasn't the least bit interested in hearing about her.
Every time she started to speak, he interrupted her, going back to his own conquests.
"I, of course, have already been to Paris, as I said. And when I got there, everyone was impressed with my work." He said, not noticing the look of frustration that formed in Y/n's eyes.
Y/n started to feel invisible, like she was an accessory in his conversation, not someone he really wanted to talk to. She looked at her watch, feeling like she needed to get out of there.
It was impossible to stay there.
"I... I think I have to go. I have an appointment that just came up." Y/n said, standing up quickly.
"But... are you serious? Already?" He looked at her with a look of surprise, still trying to grasp what was happening.
"Yeah, I'm really late." Y/n replied, forcing a smile. "I'll pay my share at the counter."
She grabbed her bag and stood up, leaving the table before he had time to react. When she left the restaurant, she quickly grabbed her phone and texted Ollie.
'S.O.S. I need rescue.'
'I'm on 5th Avenue, Italian restaurant ಥ╭╮ಥ"
Minutes later, Ollie appeared. She smiled in relief when she saw him. He had a curious smile on his face, but his expression soon softened.
"Trouble in paradise, huh?" Ollie asked, laughing as she got into the car.
Y/n sighed, giving a wry smile. "You have no idea. The guy is... THE GUY ONLY TALKS ABOUT HIMSELF, Ollie. He's a narcissist! He interrupted me every time I tried to talk about myself. I couldn't even tell him I like coffee with milk without him starting to talk about the last time he had coffee at a fancy restaurant."
Ollie laughed out loud, amusement evident on his face. "So how was he feeling, being the only interesting human being in the conversation?"
"He was loving it! I have no words, Ollie."
He laughed again. "I knew it was going to be a disaster. He seemed pretty perfect at first, didn't he?" Ollie starts driving.
Y/n rolled her eyes. "Yeah, 'perfect'... Except not. He has no idea how to be a person."
Ollie glanced at her, the amused expression still on his face. "Do you want to come over to my apartment? I ordered a pizza a few minutes ago and it should be here soon. Maybe you'll be able to forget about the whole disaster."
Y/n smiled at the offer. "That sounds perfect."
As he drove, the two felt comfortable with each other. They had been friends for so many years, and she felt that, through it all, Ollie had always been there for her, more than anyone else.
Since childhood, the two had exchanged confidences, and Y/n, although she knew how much she cared for him, still didn't have the courage to say how sorry she was. Ollie, on the other hand, had always had the same feeling, but was afraid to confess and risk their friendship.
They arrived at Ollie's apartment, and he began to talk about the training he had done that day. "It was intense. I'm really excited to get back on the track. I hope the car can handle the changes. I need more practice time."
Y/n listened to him attentively, enjoying seeing him so excited, her smile widening as she felt the comfortable atmosphere around her.
She took off her heels and placed them near the door, next to Ollie's sneakers. It was like she was home.
Ollie walked over to the intercom to answer the pizza, and then turned to Y/n, a soft look in his eyes. "I have some comfortable clothes here if you want. You can grab something from my closet."
Y/n looked at him, surprised. "Really?"
"Sure. You're probably bothered by that skirt and tights, aren't you?"
Y/n smiled and walked closer to him. "You know me very well." She hugged him affectionately, placing her head on his shoulder, and then placed a soft kiss on the base of his neck, which made her smile shyly. "Thank you, Ollie."
Ollie was quiet for a moment, feeling the softness of her touch, but he smiled. "I'll get the pizza downstairs. Make yourself at home."
Y/n watched him walk away, the heat from their interaction still in her body as the feeling she had always had for him intensified, something she could no longer ignore.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••
2nd Failed Meeting.
The date seemed promising at first. Y/n and the guy had agreed on something simple: to go out for ice cream in the afternoon. The weather was cold, but nothing a milkshake couldn't make up for. At first, she thought it would be a pleasant afternoon.
But she soon realized she was wrong.
He spent most of his time looking at his phone, laughing at messages and occasionally commenting on other girls. He talked about how his ex was still trying to get back together with him, how a college friend of his was 'too hot' and how a girl he met on Instagram seemed 'too nice'.
At no point did he ask anything about Y/n. Not about her day, not about what she liked, nothing.
Then he got a message and laughed out loud. "Oh my god, look at this!" He said, but didn't bother showing it to Y/n.
It was there that she realized he really didn't want to be there.
Y/n just sighed and decided it wasn't worth wasting any more time. She stood up, grabbed her bag and said without hesitation, "I need to go. My parents are going out and they need the car."
The guy barely looked up from his phone. "Oh, no problem. We'll talk later."
She rolled her eyes, grabbed the untouched milkshake, and walked out of the fancy ice cream shop.
Getting into the car, he took out his cell phone and sent a message to Ollie.
'Meet me in the park near Big Ben?'
The answer came within seconds.
'I'll be there in a few minutes. ( ˘ ³˘)'
Y/n started the car and drove to the meeting point. On the way, she laughed to herself, remembering the absurd things he had said.
"Thank God I got out."
As she reached the park, the chilly London wind blew her hair away. She leaned against the railing, looking out at Big Ben and the bridge. The biting cold called for a thick coat, and Y/n was wearing a cozy sweater and scarf, but she still felt the wind blowing against her face.
That's when he felt a hand land gently on his shoulder.
"How many minutes did you last this time?" Ollie asked, leaning against the railing beside her, a smile playing on his lips.
Y/n laughed, shaking her head. "Long enough to hear him talk about other girls like I was one of his friends."
Ollie's eyes widened in disbelief. "No kidding."
"I swear! He spent the whole time on his phone and laughing at the messages he received. Oh, and he even told me, all excited, that his ex still isn't over him."
Ollie laughed out loud. "Was this a date or a therapy session for him?"
"I should have charged for that." Y/n laughed along.
Ollie watched her, enchanted without even realizing it. The sparkle in her eyes as she spoke, the way the wind made her hair dance in the air, the way she wrinkled her nose every time she talked about the idiot she had gone out with.
Everything about her seemed perfect to him. It always had.
She noticed his gaze and smiled. "What is it?"
"Nothing." Ollie said, quickly looking away at the view of the river. "I'm just trying to understand how someone sets you up on a date and then decides to ignore you."
Y/n laughed, tossing her hair back. "Yeah, I wanted to understand too."
He smiled, shaking his head. "You know, maybe it's your fault."
"Mine?" She arched her eyebrow.
"Yes. You always attract the most bizarre cases. I think you have a special talent for it."
Y/n pushed him lightly, laughing. "Funny."
Ollie pointed to the cup in his hand. "What's up? Did you buy a milkshake to drown your sorrows?"
She lifted her nearly full glass and sighed dramatically. "Yes. My great consolation after the worst date of my life."
"Well, at least the milkshake didn't ignore you to talk about his ex." Ollie joked.
Y/n laughed again, feeling her heart warm with his presence. With Ollie, everything was different. Everything was light, fun, safe. She knew, deep down, that no date would work out because no guy would be like him.
But confessing it? That was the real challenge.
••••••••••••••••••••••••
3rd Failed Meeting
From the beginning, Y/n could tell something was wrong.
The guy didn't just seem excited, he was scary. Before they even had their first drink, he was already talking about marriage, kids, and how they were 'made for each other'.
Y/n listened to everything with wide eyes, trying to understand why he was so convinced that she was 'the woman of his life' after just a few exchanged messages and casual encounters at college.
He acted as if they were already in love, talking about their future together, their travel plans, their children's names, how his mother would love to meet her. All this without even knowing what her favorite food was.
They were in a bar near the college, and Y/n, completely scared by every word that came out of his mouth, started drinking. A tequila. Then, a shot of vodka. Then beer. Each sip was a momentary relief from the barrage of exaggerated statements he made.
When she realized that the alcohol was already rising and that she definitely couldn't stay there, she decided to find a way to leave.
"I... just remembered that I need to go home. My parents need me there."
She grabbed her bag and hurriedly got up, leaving before he could say anything.
As soon as he left there, he picked up his cell phone and found a message from Ollie.
'So, how's the date going?'
'Terrible. And I'm a little drunk. I need to get home, but I can't drive.'
'I'm coming to get you, babe'
The bar was close to the college, so she walked over and sat down on the steps of the block where her course rooms were. She wasn't completely drunk—not to the point where she was throwing up or couldn't walk—but she knew she wasn't sober enough to drive or take a taxi by herself.
A few minutes later, a taxi pulled up in front of her. Ollie got out of the car, said something to the driver, and paid the fare before looking in Y/n's direction.
She was sitting on the stairs, looking down at the ground with a dejected expression. He couldn't tell if it was because of the disastrous date or simply because she was tired from class.
He walked up the steps and smiled. "Wow, Y/n. You look great. Radiant, even."
Y/n looked up, snorted, and smiled. "Shut up."
"Come on, I'll help you." Ollie laughed and held out his hands to her.
She took his hands, and Ollie gently pulled her up, helping her to her feet. Once she was standing, she sighed. "The guy was already talking about kids, marriage, our country house, and naming our dogs."
Ollie's eyes widened. "Bullshit."
"I swear. And the worst part? He acted like we'd been married for years. Like... we don't even know each other!"
"You attract such a weirdo..." Ollie chuckled, shaking his head.
She rolled her eyes and smiled, crossing her arms. Ollie then held out his hand to her.
Half drunk and a little lost, Y/n just slapped his palm and said excitedly: "HIGH-FIVE!"
Ollie laughed, tilting his head back. "Y/n, I wanted your car keys, not a high-five."
She frowned and then raised her eyebrows, as if she understood the logic of it. "Ahhh. Here..."
Then he reached into his jeans pocket and pulled out his keys, handing them to him with a smile.
"Thanks." Ollie laughed, putting away the keys and putting an arm around her shoulders. "Let's go home, honey."
Y/n snuggled against him as they walked towards the parking lot. Ollie felt torn on one hand, seeing Y/n hanging out with other guys always made him sad.
But on the other hand, he liked being the person who always rescued her. I enjoyed taking care of her, even if it was after failed dates and a few extra shots of tequila.
As they got into the car, Ollie put on his seatbelt. Y/n watched him closely, a small smile on her lips.
"You're so beautiful." She commented suddenly.
Ollie paused for a second, turned his face to her and raised an eyebrow. "You're drunk."
"That doesn't mean it's a lie." She smiled even wider.
Ollie laughed, starting the car. "Okay, let's get you home before you propose to me too."
•••••••••••••••••••••
4th Failed Meeting
Dinner had barely started, and Y/n already wanted to run away.
The guy couldn't stop talking about his ex-girlfriend. About how perfect she was. About how she broke his heart. About how sometimes he still dreamed about her.
Y/n tried to change the subject a few times, but he always found a way to go back to his ex. The worst part? He started comparing her to the girl. The way she spoke, the way she played with her hair, even her smile, everything was identical to his ex-girlfriend.
It was enough for Y/n to realize that he was definitely not ready to move on. So before dessert arrived, she grabbed her bag and stood up.
"Look... I hope you can get over your ex one day. But I'm not her, and you clearly don't want to be here with me. Good luck."
She left without looking back, ignoring any protests he might make.
As soon as he stepped onto the sidewalk, he took a deep breath, trying to get rid of the frustration of the encounter. But when he looked up, he saw a car parked on the other side of the street.
A car that looked absurdly familiar.
She frowned and walked closer. When she saw who was behind the wheel, she laughed in surprise and knocked on the window.
Ollie smiled from inside and unlocked the doors. Y/n quickly got into the car and turned to him.
"What are you doing here?" She raised her eyebrows. "I haven't even had time to call for help yet!"
Ollie chuckled, turning the key in the ignition. "My parents ordered dinner from this restaurant. I came to pick it up." He then gave her an amused look. "But then I saw you sitting inside with a panicked look on your face. I decided to wait, because I was sure that in a matter of minutes you would either come out or send a message asking for rescue."
Y/n blinked a few times in surprise. "You know me too well."
"It's a gift." Ollie shrugged, smiling.
She was silent for a second, her heart pounding. She wanted so badly to tell him. To tell him that, since childhood, he had been her favorite person. That, through all these failed dates, the only constant was him.
So instead he just smiled.
"Thank you for waiting for me."
"What was the problem this time?" He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, still smiling.
Y/n snorted, leaning her head back against the bench. "He couldn't stop talking about his ex. From the beginning to the end of dinner."
Ollie grimaced. "Really?"
"Seriously. And not only that! He compared me to her all the time. He said that the way I moved my hair reminded him of her, that my smile was just like hers, that even my voice sounded like hers."
"For God's sake." The pilot's mouth fell open in shock.
"I know!" Y/n threw her hands up. "Like, why did he go out with me? He's clearly still in love with her!"
Ollie laughed, shaking his head. "You have a magnet for bad dates. I told you!"
"I'm starting to think so." She laughed, turning to him. "I think I'll stop trying for a while."
Ollie looked at her for a moment, as if he wanted to say something. But instead, he just drove on and smiled.
"Good idea. And anyway, you don't need dates when you already have the most amazing best friend in the world to save you."
Y/n smiled, feeling her heart race.
Maybe one day she would finally be able to tell him.
•••••••••••••••••••••••
Last Failed Date.
The meeting wasn't bad. The guy was nice, handsome, polite and even funny. They had fluid conversations, laughed at the same things, and Y/n almost allowed herself to believe that it could finally work out.
But with every laugh, every witty comment, she realized she was comparing everything to Ollie.
The way he told jokes. The way he moved his hair, his voice, his jokes. Gosh, even physically, he reminded me a little of Ollie.
And it was there, in the middle of dinner, that everything became clear.
What she was looking for was always right beside her.
She put the glass down on the table with a sigh and looked at the boy in front of her.
"Look... I need to be honest with you."
"Go ahead." He raised his eyebrows curiously.
"There's nothing wrong with you. You're an amazing, kind, polite, and thoughtful guy. But there's someone... someone I need to see right now. I need to tell them how I feel before it's too late. I'm sorry."
He was silent for a moment, then smiled. "I'm glad you realized that on the first date, so my heart doesn't break as much."
"I'm sorry, again." Y/n let out an awkward laugh.
"No need to apologize." He shrugged. "Good luck with your love!" He smiled, genuinely rooting for her.
Y/n smiled, paid her share and left the restaurant, her heart racing.
All the way to Ollie's apartment, her mind was racing with a thousand thoughts. How would he react? What if it was too late? What if she had misinterpreted everything?
But one thing was certain, she had to try.
When she arrived at the building, the receptionist just smiled and let her pass without needing to tell him; she was already as much a part of that place as Ollie.
Taking a deep breath, she knocked on his door.
When Ollie opened it, his eyes widened to see her there, crying softly, with her hands in the pocket of her denim jacket and her makeup slightly smudged.
"Y/n?" He grabbed her shoulders, pulling her lightly inside, closing the door behind them. "What happened? Did he do something to you? Because if he did, I swear I-"
"No, no!" Y/n shook her head quickly, wiping away a tear. "Nothing bad happened. The date was good, the guy was sweet, but..." She took a deep breath, feeling her heart hammer in her chest. "I left because I realized I love someone else."
Ollie froze. His heart stopped for a second, dreading hearing another guy's name leave her lips. But then, Y/n wrapped her arms around herself and looked deep into his eyes, tears starting to fall again.
"The man I love has known me since I was a child. He knows when I'm having a bad day, knows exactly what to do to cheer me up. He takes me on runs, lends me his sweatshirts, takes care of me when my parents are away on business..." Ollie held his breath, his heart hammering. "He's my best friend..."
The last sentence came out in a whisper, full of emotion.
Ollie's eyes lit up. One second his hands were on her face, and the next he was pulling her into a kiss.
It was soft, tender, but at the same time full of urgency, as if they had both been waiting for this for years. Between one kiss and another, smiles formed, hands clasped, as if they wanted to be sure that it was real.
When they broke apart, Ollie rested his forehead against hers, smiling.
"I've loved you since I was little," he confessed, his voice hoarse with emotion. "It hurt to see you go out with all those guys, but I was relieved when it didn't work out because I knew you'd come back to me. I always wanted to take care of you like you were my own."
Y/n smiled, her hands wrapping around his neck. "I've always been yours, I just didn't realize it before. But I'm here now, and forever. You just have to want it too."
Ollie smiled, his eyes full of love. "I want you today, tomorrow and always."
And then he kissed her again, finally sealing everything that had always been there.
Y/n's hands slid around the back of his neck, pulling him closer, feeling the warmth and familiarity that had always been there, but now with a completely different meaning. Ollie sighed against her lips, smiling between one kiss and another, as if he couldn't believe that this was really happening.
But now, there was no more hesitation, just the certainty that they were finally where they were supposed to be.

NEW KORRO LORE JUST DROPPED
✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧
Tumblr media
✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧
Korro lore just dropped.
Tw: mild abuse and violence
┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅
As a young girl raised in a strict Mormon family, she often found herself hiding away. Silent and closed off compared to her now lively and happy self. Scared of her family and of the religion she was raised with.
Fear mongering was very common in this household. “You’ll go to hell for that”. She heard often. From anything from dropping a plate, to wanting to cut her hair. Korro found herself terrified. ‘Will I go to hell for this?’ She would ask to herself often. Every action she did she questioned it. ‘Would god see this as okay?’ Korro often found herself constantly anxious.
Her family dynamic was always one of chaos. 4 older brothers. And they always found a way to mess with her. From leaving rotten onions under her bed, to pushing her in the mud on the way to school. Small, and mild inconveniences at most…though they often took it too far. As she often ended up sick, hurt, or straight up in desperate need of a hospital visit. Though that never happened. Not in this family. Her mother always very overbearing and scolding. While her father mostly absent. Off working and busy with her brothers.
“We’re not made of money. Walk it off.” Was ingrained into her very soul.
In middle school she was known as Eyeless. That’s it. Obviously kids weren’t very good at insults. Though it did bring her down. She found herself upset often. Though knowing better. Always stayed silent. Hiding in her fantasy world of books she got from the library. Finding the history books the most interesting.
A couple days before she exploded, she was walking home. Silently as she walked home. A couple students stalked behind her. Snickering and laughing quietly behind as they trailed closely. Hearing them she turned around, confused as to why they weren’t going down the usual route.
She made a terrible mistake, as one of the students had grabbed her.
“You know, for a weirdo, you never do anything good do you huh? I’m curious”
Another student spoke up, walking closer.
“Yeah! I wonder, how deep is that eye cavity huh?”
The third student walked up to her, holding a sharpened pencil in his hand. And bringing it up.
“Hey take her bandage off, I wanna see how far we can stick a pencil up there.”
He said with a cruel grin, as the first student who held her arm, tore the bandage off, leaving that sticky bandage residue around her eye. Or more, missing eye. As the third student held the pencil up. And slowly stuck it deeper and deeper into her eye.
The incident leaving her eye cavity leaking blood, and her one eye in tears. As she silently trailed home. Sniffling as blood and tears poured down her cheeks.
When she walked through her home door, she took her shoes off. As her mother was turned around washing dishes.
“You won’t be getting dinner tonight Korro, you know the house rules. If you’re late home your portion goes to the others. Same as everyone else.”
Korro only sniffled. As her mother turned around… her eyes softened and she gently brought Korro to the washroom.
“…let me clean you up sweetheart…then you can have some rice…”
Her mother spoke softly. Now gently cleaning her wound. If only she cared this much for her all the time, Korro thought to herself…
When her brothers heard about this, it was a bit unexpected. As the next day at school, they all ended up getting suspended for beating up three students. Her home life wasn’t all bad. She thought.
The longer this year went on though, the worse her mentality got. Day after day she felt with the same issues, came home hungry. Went to bed hungry. Studied to do her best, only got decent grades…
This day however…she broke.
As she sat in History class, she was writing down notes before class had started. A girl sitting behind her began to speak snicker quietly to the other classmates. Before quickly ripping off Korro’s bandage.
This was her final straw. As uncharacteristically, Korro got up from her desk, turned around. And grabbed the girl. The class was in shock as they witnessed Korro pick this girl up, who was almost twice here size, and slam her into the desk in-front of her.
“WHY! WHY! DO YOU HATE ME?! WHAT HAVE I DONE TO YOU! I HOPE YOU DIE! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!”
Korro would begin to repeat herself and scream out. As the teacher quickly ran to them and pulled Korro off the now sobbing and crying girl, who still held Korro’s bandage in her hand.
In Korro’s angry haste, she left her bag, and ran out of the school. Running….and running…and running…till soon she was out of town, and walking down the wooded forest that surrounded her town.
With not a couple dollars, from selling strawberries at the farmers market, in her pocket… she stopped at the bus stop a couple miles out. Making her way out of state.
Not once has she ever regretted her decision.
✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧
Y’all enjoy Korro lore? Not the sad stuff? Oops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nah for real, I wanted to cry writing this about my poor baby Korro, but she needed character development!! (ಥ﹏ಥ)

1. nothing could be more suspicious than that hair of yours. I swear this woman's hair gets bigger every time I see her. is that all real, or extensions? if it's real, then drop that haircare routine sis
2. if you choose the first one, Rika accuses you of being a pervert. she's not entirely wrong, but also, why did Cheritz even give us that option to begin with? this is not how I wanted to see him on his knees. bad vibes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. top 10 saddest screenshots ever taken. literally just put me out of my misery
4. to draw this interaction this way was such a choice. I love how it looks both homoerotic and like a weeb's rendition of a biblical painting using their favourite characters from different franchises
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. first, I'm a fan of how this looks like the cover of one of those cheesy romance novels that grandmas read, and second, literally impossible. cruel of him and the writers to even suggest such a thing. I'm too selfish and don't have the coping skills or neurological genetics to do what you're asking of me
6. the absolute purity that radiates from this is unmatched. I almost don't want to be with him because he's too good for anyone. also babe did you break into V's studio to take this photo with the professional backdrop and everything? because I support that kind of behaviour
Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. let's all together beat him up, then. if, like discussed in your AE, "there's no right or wrong," then violence should be acceptable. him and his security guard can't take us all on, and aren't you all about self-sacrifice? and protecting the twins? where's that attitude now?? you're already going to jail anyway. surely you have some repressed anger that you can make use of. Rika and I have enough crazy between us to equate to 3 men in battle too, like let's go
8. same energy as "now I feel weird" or "my head hurts" from days 8 and 9... sir, is this your tsundere way of saying you have feelings for me? I'm flattered, but as you can see, I already have a bf
Tumblr media Tumblr media
9. we get called a goddess by both Chois. Cheritz saw the feedback from AS and Yoosung's route and made good use of it
10. "but not me" same. let me know if you need my help in any way. like how V "helped" Rika after her "skirmish" with your mom
Tumblr media Tumblr media
... this feels oddly meta. as if Cheritz was like "we know you sickos have fantasized about ending up with both of them, so here you go" and you get to be with just Saeran in the alternative end. here it feels like Saeran's your husband, but Saeyoung's your boyfriend. like why they both holding bouquets, with us in the middle? I thought Saeyoung was looking at his brother's happiness, but he's actually looking at us
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in addition to Chairman Han, I am petitioning Cheritz to also give us a Driver Kim and Prime Minister route. the former has a heart of gold but his voice and cadence makes me think he may have k!lled someone in the past, and I know that the latter has, but red flags never stopped us before
